Can I go to US/EU/CANADA/AUSTRALIA to seek jobs of anytipe after completing MA in HISTORY at JU in INDIA

Can I go to US/EU/CANADA/AUSTRALIA to seek jobs of anytipe after completing MA in HISTORY at JU in INDIA?
I am so frustrated that a person with Arts bacground has no prospect. Had I taken Sc./Commers, I would not have to come to such a position. Today, jobs mean management, software, IT, finance and such and such... plus to make matters worse, Govt. sectors are rapidly reducing. Only an idiot like me would take History and become a so-called educated... I am very upset with the policy of India Govt. and I want to get rid of this DANGEROUS country.. I am sorry to pass such a derogatory comment, but its a natural outburst of my resentment... Pliz help me out.....

No. We've got plenty of history majors of our own here in the US. As you observed, the availability of a work visa is directly dependent upon the skills the applicant has.

No way!! Go back to school, try to use some of your credits to get a new degree. Very hard to get in the US even if you have a Masters in technology or business....

Esthetician to further education- LPN or MA

Esthetician to further education- LPN or MA?
Not sure what direction I should go. I am a freelance esthetician right now, and work (waste my time) in Finance 2 days a week. I would like to just work for skin care in dermatology. I want to further my education, to enable me to work at a dermatology practice- would LPN or MA be better. Or should I just let them train me and bank on my current skin care experience- which is more spa based. Should I volunteer? Thanks, any insight would be great.

I think that a medical assistant would be a good one. You have already developed some of these skills through your esthetician training.

You need to go for the LPN you'll have more job options open to you and they get paided more then MA. I'm a MA and have been since 2005 and still havent gotten a job in that field. My sister is an LPN and got a job right out of school making good money.

Vanderbilt or Emory, which is the better school

Vanderbilt or Emory, which is the better school?
I am looking to go for a Masters in Economics with an emphasis in finance and banking from Vanderbilt. But I also have the option of attending Emory Law School. Which sounds like the better deal? A year and a half MA Economics program from Vanderbilt or three years and a 100,000 investment with Emory Law School?

Seems to me you need to decide if you are going to pursue economics or law as a career before you make this decision. Both schools have EXCELLENT reputations in these specialties. Consider your ROI as well. 18 mos. in finance/banking could result in a very high-paying position, as could three years in law school. Perhaps you could pursue finance & banking law as an option.

They are both great schools. Emory is the slightly better school. But since you are looking at different disciplines, it really shouldn't be the school that determines where you go. Do you want to be a lawyer or do you want to work in finance? If you really want to go into banking, I would recommend an MBA program over the MA program. The only advantage to the MA over an MBA is that you can do it without work experience.

Is anyone else getting the run around from Chase Home Finance in regards to the MHA program

Is anyone else getting the run around from Chase Home Finance in regards to the MHA program?
Last July, I contacted Chase Home Finance and asked if I could apply for the Obama plan to keep my home out of foreclosure. I had gone thru a nasty divorce 3 years earlier, laid off from my job and took one with a massive pay cut, and was unable to afford the almost $1000/month mortgage. I was only bringing home $1424 a month and trying to raise three teenage daughters with no financial support from their father. *The loan was taken out when I was married.* Now, at the start of the trial payments, I was on workman's comp as well and explained that to them. They wanted a copy of my divorce decree and a letter about the WC. I faxed that to them ASAP. I then began my trial payments and didn't miss a single one and was on time. In January, I received the "final" paperwork which I signed immediately and sent in with all requested documentation. I fulfilled every request that was listed in the modification request. When I didn't hear back from them, I called and they told me my paperwork was incomplete because my ex husband didn't sign the paperwork. I explained to them AGAIN I was divorced and even in their own contract it clearly states he doesn't have to sign it since he didn't get the house in the divorce. I pointed out the section and subsection of this information in their OWN CONTRACT. After me calling repeatedly, I finally get a call back saying they need a copy of my divorce decree for a THIRD time along with a quit claim deed signed by my ex husband. I gathered the documentation and faxed it in again. I then spent the next three months calling and asking "What do I need to send in as a payment?"..."We can't take a payment from you. There is a stop on your account because they are reviewing your information." I even asked "Are you going to try and charge me late charges or declare me delinquent even though I keep trying to pay you?"..."No ma'am. There is a stop on your account. There is nothing you and I can do." I then receive a letter from them on June 7th, 2010, that my modification was denied because I "requested a withdraw from consideration" or "failed to accept the Trial Period Plan or Home Affordable Modification within the required time period". When I called Chase, they said I hadn't made a payment since Sept. of 2009 and that I owed them over $10,000 including late charges. When I asked why the modification had been denied, they informed me that it was because my ex husband refused to sign thus nullifying the application. WHAT? ARE YOU SERIOUS???? I then explained everything that has happened since July of 2009 and broke down crying. I've never been more frustrated and more upset. How many hoops can one jump thru trying to fix a situation and only getting the run around? Anyone else with this problem?

Visit this discussion forum: http://www.loansafe.org/forum/register.php You will have to register, but will find a ton of people in your same situation

This actually happens more often than most people think. You need to remember that there are tons of other files that are also being processed and most lenders, if not all, are understaffed and simply don't have the resources to get this done right. Is it fair? No, but it is what it is. The best thing you can do is have an organization that can do this for you for free. There are many others that are great that charge a fee, but you will find good ones for free. It saves you from some of the headaches, worries and stress that comes with this process. Plus, they are able to deal with roadblocks and issues that arise as they are trained negotiators.

Put your tax dollars to work. Go to your local senators office (Make sure you go in person) Explain your situation to them and make sure you have all of your documentation. They will be sure to help. Go to each one Democrat and Republican who represent your area. Next go to the news channels and newspaper. If you are not shy and take the offensive to what is occurring to you then you may be able to turn the tide. I would also seek a more efficient organization to represent on the loan modification process. The best ones stay in contact throughout the process so nothing would slip through the cracks. The lenders have incentive to get loan mods done since the TARP is providing them $1000. just for getting a person in a temp mod which can convert to a permanent mod with as low as 2% interest rates!!!!

I am looking for a finance/marketing internship, anyone know where to look

I am looking for a finance/marketing internship, anyone know where to look?
I am a senior in high school and i participate in a school program called W.I.S.E. In this program students basically have to do an internship in a field of their choice. I have been having a hard time finding an internship that doesn't require a lot of time and that is in a local area. I am interested in doing an internship in finance/marketing (but anything related to business will be fine). I took the following courses in high school (or still taking). Intro to business Principles of economics Marketing I live in Newton, MA, and have access to a car. So yeah...work for free up to 14 hours or so. Anyone know a place where i could find an internship?

Are you going to be doing this internship during school hours? Nights? Weekends? I imagine if it's in finance, then you will need to work business hours or hours when someone is there to oversee you. Since this is during school, your best bet would be to go through your school (teacher, guidance counselor, etc.) or at least ask about what you will need to do in order to get excused from being in school during the time you are at the business. Also, someone at the school might know someone in the field in which you want to work. one place you could start are local banks, credit unions and maybe investment firms. Check out the "About Us" section of their websites to see where they are based and to make sure they are a local business. You might also want to check with your local Chamber of Commerce, which is an organization that many local businesses join. They might be able to point you in the right direction.
